HyPhoX develops miniaturised photonic-electronic integrated biosensors intended to enable rapid, on-site analysis with lab-like performance. The company combines optical, electrical and microfluidic components on a single chip, integrating these functions on a very small footprint. According to available sources, HyPhoX’s biosensor approach is designed to provide high-performing rapid tests and digitalized quantitative real-time data.
HyPhoX’s sensing capabilities are described as supporting detection of analytes such as bacteria, viruses, and proteins across sample types including water, urine and blood. The technology is positioned for high-volume application areas such as water analysis, environmental monitoring, food diagnostics and point-of-care use. HyPhoX is presented as a spin-off involving research institutions (including IHP Microelectronics GmbH and Technical University of Wildau) and has been supported through programs such as EXIST, aiming to bring biosensor technology to market maturity.
