The “Downstream Processing” Competence Center at Covestro is responsible for thermal process engineering worldwide. This includes equipment design, the optimization of existing plants, and operational support. When necessary, calculation results are supported by extensive laboratory testing.

In addition to our wide range of benefits, as a full-time employee you can expect an attractive starting salary between €77,600 and €93,900 per year, plus a variable component. The starting salary is based on your qualifications and professional experience.

To expand our team, we are looking for an Expert (m/f/d) in Distillation.

In your future role, your responsibilities will include the following:

• You will be responsible for the design of technical equipment
• Furthermore, you will plan laboratory tests, assist with the setup and operation of systems in the laboratory and pilot plant, and evaluate the test results
• Your responsibilities will include modeling distillation processes
• Expanding and deepening your expertise in the field of distillation is part of your responsibilities
• In your new position, you will be responsible for acquiring contracts and coordinating project execution
• You will supervise interns as well as undergraduate and graduate students (m/f/d)

What you bring to the table:

• You hold a degree as a graduate engineer (m/f/d) or a master’s degree in process engineering or chemical engineering from a research university
• You have several years of experience in the field of distillation, ideally gained through a Ph.D. in this area
• Basic knowledge of project management is necessary to oversee a wide range of client projects
• You also have the ability to identify clients’ technical needs, translate them into solutions, and present these solutions to clients
• Excellent written and spoken English skills round out your profile
