About us
We see the semiconductor industry as a realm of possibility. We see opportunity. We see the profound impact that our graphene solutions will have in transforming the industry. We invite you to join us in driving change with our fundamentally human-centered approach, uniting bright minds around a shared vision. The vision is: Prove to everybody that you can make a fundamental change. Prove with your knowledge and skills how things can be done differently. Together, we can change the paradigm of how the world connects
About our technology
The semiconductor industry’s growing demand for more powerful chips with higher bandwidth and lower power finds its solution in our technology. We connect chips to high-throughput, low-delay computing networks. The key lies in harnessing the physical properties of graphene to combine electronic computing with photonic communication, allowing countless chips to interact almost as if they were one. Our graphene photonic innovation increases computing power and efficiency to a new order of magnitude
In short, we connect chips to create powerful and energy-efficient networks, overcoming connectivity limitations in the semiconductor industry. We deliver the graphene solution
The Role
We are seeking an experienced System Integration & Characterization Engineer to join our Characterization Team. In this role, you will play a key part in the development, characterization, and industrialization of our graphene photonics products as we scale from R&D to manufacturing. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive product development, test strategy, quality assurance, and manufacturing readiness.
To join our team, you should be excited to:
Test and characterize graphene photonics and electronic devices, including modulators, photodetectors, integrated circuits, and optical I/O systems, using advanced electrical, optical, and RF measurement equipment.
Develop, automate, and optimize characterization and production test methods, measurement scripts, and ATE solutions to ensure product performance, quality, and manufacturing readiness.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define measurement strategies, support design-for-test (DFT) implementation, and drive the transition from R&D characterization to high-volume manufacturing.
Analyze and report measurement data to support yield improvement, statistical process control, reliability testing, failure analysis, and root-cause investigations.
Establish and maintain test procedures, quality control standards, documentation, and training materials while ensuring compliance with industry and customer requirements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in test efficiency, process optimization, manufacturing analytics, and supplier qualification.
Your Qualifications
M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Photonics, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related technical field.
5+ years of hands-on experience in semiconductor, photonic, and optoelectronic device characterization and test development.
Strong understanding of PIC, EIC, and optoelectronic device operation, including EIC-to-PIC interfaces and semiconductor device physics.
Proven experience performing electrical, optical, optoelectronic, and RF measurements using laboratory instrumentation, probers, and wafer-level test systems.
Hands-on experience developing and automating test solutions using Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or similar tools for instrument control, data acquisition, and analysis.
Experience designing and building characterization setups, from bench-top experiments to wafer-scale test environments.
Knowledge of Design-for-Test (DFT), Automated Test Equipment (ATE), and production test methodologies.
Demonstrated success transferring characterization methods from R&D into manufacturing environments.
Experience with statistical data analysis, SPC, yield monitoring, reliability testing, and failure analysis.
Familiarity with Design-for-Manufacturability (DFM), process optimization, supplier qualification, and incoming material characterization.
Knowledge of semiconductor and photonic reliability qualification standards and packaging characterization is a plus.
Experience in a fast-paced startup or semiconductor manufacturing environment is preferred.
