Zurich, Zürich, SchweizPraktikum1h ago
Join the Wingtra team and become part of this venture-backed robotics scaleup with a global and international team of 125+ dedicated Wingtranauts who want to see their actions have a positive and lasting impact on the world. Founded more than 8 years ago at ETH Zurich, Europe’s leading robotics university, our goal is to build the best aerial robots to digitize the world at the push of a button and set the basis for faster and better decisions. Wingtra provides efficient and reliable data solutions to a variety of industries ranging from mining, construction and agriculture to humanitarian organizations, environmentalists and wildlife monitoring groups.
We are reaching for the stars and together we might just get there. Open communication, asking hard questions and valuing diverse viewpoints are but a few things that will help us achieve our goals. Above all we will never stop learning and striving to help each other reach our maximum potential.

In this hands-on role, you will execute outdoor test missions with drones from our test fleet, collect data, and report your findings to the engineering team.

Important: Due to holidays until 3rd of August, you will only hear back from us afterwards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare drones, equipment and execute predefined outdoor test missions
  • Document results and unexpected drone or app behaviour
  • Upload flight logs and other test data to feeding information back to engineers
  • Report issues in clear tickets and carry out follow-up tests with engineers
  • Drive to test locations around Zurich and occasionally further away or into the mountains
  • Possible to grow into various adjacent responsibilities; drone repair, develop test tooling (SW + HW)

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a technical Bachelor’s programme, ideally in the early or middle stages of your studies
  • Valid Category B driving licence for Switzerland and confidence driving to rural or mountainous locations
  • Comfortable with outdoor work in changing weather and on varied terrain; remote work is not possible
  • Careful, reliable, and safety-conscious, with good observational and communication skills
  • Very good spoken and written English (B2 or better); German is an advantage
  • Comfortable learning and using new software tools
  •  No prior professional or drone experience required—what matters is a hands-on attitude, ownership, and willingness to learn

What we offer

  • Hands-on experience with advanced drones and close collaboration with testing and engineering teams
  • An entry point into a leading Swiss robotics company, with opportunities to learn and grow
  • A 40% average workload, adjustable between 30% and 50% by mutual monthly agreement based on your availability and the company’s needs
  • A young and dynamic team, free snacks, and many enthusiastic Wingtranauts
If you enjoy teamwork more than being the individual superhero, and if you thrive in a feedback-driven culture and an exciting, unconventional yet structured and progressive start-up environment, we would love to hear from you.
