We are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineering Team Lead to own the mechanical design of our semiconductor systems and guide a small team of engineers. In this permanent role, you will be the primary mechanical engineer and team lead, responsible for delivering production-ready mechanical designs and documentation that support system build, supplier interaction, and customer delivery in a fast-growing, innovative environment.

ROLE OVERVIEW
- Design, update, and manage complete 3D CAD system models, including assemblies and components, using structured change management.
- Create and maintain 2D manufacturing and system drawings to support internal builds and external suppliers
- Manage mechanical data in Autodesk Inventor and Vault, including PDM structure, BOM management, and data integrity.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in design processes (DFM, DfX), tools, and methodologies
- Lead and mentor a small team of mechanical engineers, ensuring technical excellence and timely delivery.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, prototyping, and construction resources to translate concepts into manufacturable systems.
- Drive cross-functional alignment and act as the mechanical engineering representative in project planning and execution.
YOUR SKILLS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven experience delivering mechanical designs for complex systems or capital equipment, ideally in the semiconductor or highly regulated environments; knowledge of semiconductor norms is a strong advantage.
- Strong proficiency with CAD tools, preferably Autodesk Inventor, including creation of detailed assemblies and manufacturing drawings.
- Hands-on experience with PDM/PLM systems; familiarity with Autodesk Vault is a strong advantage.
- Deep understanding of BOM structures, change control, and mechanical documentation for production.
- Deep understanding of tolerance stacking for creation of high precision assemblies.
- Leadership experience in guiding engineering teams, fostering collaboration, and ensuring project success.
- Structured, delivery-focused working style, with the ability to balance technical quality and speed in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in development of semiconductor process tools, vacuum technology or optical assemblies would be an advantage.
