Electrical Lab Technician

München, Bavaria, DeutschlandVollzeitvor 2 Tagen

what we’re looking for

We’re looking for an Electrical Lab Technician to own the day-to-day readiness of our electronics lab — making sure tools, equipment, and components are always ready so the engineering team can build, test, and troubleshoot hardware without friction. This is a hands-on lab role, not a design or engineering management position: you’ll handle soldering, rework, test execution, and lab organization directly, working closely with engineers on prototype builds, bring-up, and troubleshooting of electronic hardware.

the day-to-day

  • Perform high-quality soldering, rework and modification of PCBs, cables, connectors and electronic assemblies.
  • Support prototype builds, bring-up and integration of new electronic hardware.
  • Execute electrical tests and measurements using standard lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies and logic analysers.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues systematically and support engineers with root-cause analysis.
  • Run defined validation and diagnostic tests, document results and highlight abnormalities.
  • Prepare test setups, harnesses, fixtures and equipment for development and validation activities.
  • Maintain an organised, clean and safe electronics lab with tools and equipment ready for use.
  • Own lab inventory of electronic components, consumables, cables and commonly used hardware.
  • Identify missing equipment or consumables and ensure critical items are reordered before they become a bottleneck.
  • Maintain basic documentation for lab equipment, test setups and recurring procedures.

you should apply if you

  • ~5 years experience in or around Electronics lab environment.
  • Strong practical electronics and soldering skills, including fine-pitch PCB rework.
  • Comfortable working independently with common electronics laboratory equipment.
  • Able to troubleshoot electrical problems methodically rather than only following predefined instructions.
  • Experience assembling and modifying prototype electronic systems.
  • Organised, reliable and disciplined in maintaining tools, components and workspaces.
  • Comfortable documenting measurements, test results and findings clearly.
  • Practical mindset and comfortable working in a fast-moving hardware development environment.

nice to haves

  • Prior experience assembling, testing, or troubleshooting electronics for UAVs, drones, or other flight-critical systems.
  • Experience assembling and modifying prototype electronic systems.
  • A practical mindset, comfortable in a fast-moving hardware development environment.
