About Marble Imaging
We will disrupt the European Earth Observation industry by developing our own satellite constellation and cutting-edge AI supported analytics. Marble Imaging is a German NewSpace company, combining engineering, aeronautics & Earth Observation to address global challenges from security, sustainability, climate adaptation and disaster resilience. We aim to provide these EO based analytics and insights by developing and operating our own constellation of very high-resolution multispectral satellites providing up to hourly revisits of areas of interest by the end of 2028. We are a fast-growing and diverse team, comprised of highly motivated professionals from various backgrounds. We share a common vision to make EO more accessible and understandable so that EO data can be incorporated into rapid-decision-making in every part of our global world.
Your Tasks and Responsibilities
Lead the satellite mission system engineering activities from development over launch till mission completion, including space segment, ground segment and launch segment:
Own the technical management (internally and externally) of the satellite mission
Lead the technical team of the satellite mission
Define and maintain the technical requirements from mission level to satellite level
Manage the technical mission interfaces including space segment, ground segment and launch segment
Develop mission-level and satellite-level concepts and architectures
The Job Profile
Your education:
University degree in Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent), preferably specialisation in space engineering
Your general professional experience:
Strong experience in space industry / space projects, preferably in satellite mission projects
Experience in leadership of teams
Your technical expertise:
Strong knowledge and understanding of satellite missions / systems / architectures and internal / external interfaces, preferably of earth-observation satellite missions
Profound knowledge and understanding of satellite mission ground segment and launch segment
Strong experience with requirements engineering and technical interface management
Your soft skills:
Strong organisational and communication skills
Pro-active mindset and hands-on mentality
Strong analytical skills
Ability to think out of the box (open-minded)
Ability to take a global view (thinking from mission perspective)
