Role Purpose/Summary

The Legal & Regulatory Affairs Intern supports ClearSpace’s Legal Division in day‑to‑day legal, regulatory, and policy activities. The role contributes to contract support, regulatory research, export control documentation, policy monitoring, and legal record‑keeping. The intern helps ensure that ClearSpace maintains strong legal compliance, well‑structured documentation, and informed engagement with regulatory and policy developments across multiple jurisdictions. This position offers hands‑on exposure to the legal challenges of a fast‑growing space technology company.

We are looking for a Legal & Regulatory Affairs Intern for a 6-month position in either our Swiss, UK, or Luxembourg entity.

Role Responsibilities

  • Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents, including NDAs, MoUs, consultancy agreements, and supplier contracts.
  • Assist with corporate governance and compliance documentation, including maintaining documentation related to export control and internal governance requirements.
  • Conduct legal and regulatory research on space law, export control regimes, spectrum regulations, corporate governance, and data protection.
  • Monitor legal, regulatory, and policy developments and prepare short briefing notes.
  • Support spectrum and orbital licensing activities by preparing administrative sections and gathering required inputs.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Law, International Law, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of space sector regulatory frameworks, including ITU and spectrum management processes, orbital licensing, export control regimes, and UK/LU space law.
  • Understanding of IP concepts (patents, trademarks, licensing).
  • Proficiency in French or German are a plus.
